The Keeper

Unobtrusive, unremarked and almost apologetic, the keeper of records stands apart, ever on the margins of life, unable to quite engage. He looks away, askance, apparently disregarding, and yet in truth, he misses nothing. He is keenly observant, fastidiously and obsessively interested in a world in which he plays no part. The vicarious custodian, he busies himself with noting and recording, ordering and curating the minutiae of other people's lives.
