Papillon

Apparently lost in thought, the golden girl is on the cusp of significant change. As she moves from childhood into adolescence, like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon, she finds herself imbued with new responsibility and power, with a freedom to choose. She appears to be indecisive, her hands hover, half clasped in front of her body; will she choose to conserve or will she destroy? Or perhaps she has not even noticed the butterfly, and its fate like her own, is merely the conclusion of the natural cycle of all things being played out at her feet.
